Alternative Notion Setup, Formatting Support, and Space Thousand Separators!

We've been busy over the last week and made a few improvements and updates to Pop invoice

1. Simplified Notion Setup for Single-Item Invoices.

If your invoices typically only include one good or service you no longer need the separate line items database in Notion. We've streamlined things by allowing you to keep all details of your good or service, directly within your invoice database. This simplifies your setup and saves you time.

Currently, you'll still need a separate client database. However, we're actively working on the option to manage client information within the invoice database itself.

2. Pop Invoice now uses the formatting from your databases

We've enhanced how Pop Invoice interacts with your Notion databases. Now, any formatting you've applied in Notion text properties – bullet points, multi-line descriptions, bold text, you name it – will transfer to Pop Invoice and PDFs.

We've also updated how we handle Notion formula properties, if the property has line breaks these will be brought through Pop Invoice and applied to your invoice.  Great if you're using a formula to create descriptions for your line items.

3. Option to use a space as the number separator

We've made it easier for you to format numbers for better readability in your invoices. Previously, commas and other special characters could be used as the thousand separator, but not spaces. Now, based on your feedback, you can also use spaces.

This update is particularly helpful for our French users, as spaces are the standard thousand separator in France. However, it benefits anyone who prefers this formatting style.

We hope these updates make your invoicing workflow even more efficient. As always, we're committed to continuously improving Pop Invoice. Stay tuned for more exciting features coming your way soon!
