🖇️ Auto-save invoice PDFs into Notion

This month we’ve added a great new feature, you can now auto-save your invoice PDFs directly into your Notion database. No more downloading and manually uploading files.

Setting it up is simple:

From then on, every invoice you generate in Pop Invoice will be automatically saved into Notion alongside your client records and invoice details.

How it works

Each time you generate an invoice in Pop Invoice, the latest PDF will be uploaded into the selected Notion property. You can still download the PDF or send it by email, this feature just ensures there is always a copy saved in Notion.

How to set it up step-by-step

1. In your Notion invoice database, add a new Files & Media property.     

2. Go to the Configure Notion Properties page in Pop Invoice.

3. Scroll down to the Auto-save PDF to Notion section.

4. Toggle on the Enable save PDF to Notion.

5. Select the Files & Media property from your invoice database you want to save the PDF to 👇

❓Frequently Asked Questions

❔Do I need a paid Pop Invoice plan to use auto-save?
👉Yes. auto-saving PDF invoices is only available on the Pro plan.

❔Can I choose which database in Notion the PDFs are saved to?
👉No, the PDF will be saved to your invoice database, but you can choose the property it is saved to.

❔Can I disable auto-save after turning it on?
👉 Yes, simply return to the Configure Notion Properties page in Pop Invoice and toggle off the option.

❔Will existing invoices be auto-saved, or only new ones?
👉 Only new ones, all invoices after you enable the feature will be saved to your invoice database.

❔Will Pop Invoice still keep a copy of the PDF outside Notion?
👉 Yes, a copy of the PDF will be kept in Pop Invoice too.

❔Do the PDFs overwrite if I regenerate an invoice?
👉Yes, the regenerated PDF invoice will replace the existing one.
